Matthieu Darrasse, directeur artistique et designer graphique

Conceptual Art Director · Graphic designer · Web designer

A selection of projects, from logo to website, from poster to TV commercial. A rather special laurel crown for the tobacconist La Cravache d'Or, a business card where your eye becomes the admonitor's, an art gallery website whose paintings come to life to welcome you: the idea first, the form second.

Conceptual Art Director

My work is to find the original idea before giving it form. A rare profile, halfway between the copywriter and the art director. It all starts with listening, dialogue and thinking. Then comes the strong idea, then the graphic universe that carries it, coherent across every medium, from the business card to the website.

Trained at Penninghen (ESAG) then at ECV, I spent more than ten years at TBWA\Paris, in a creative team, as an art director, chasing the big idea, the strong concept born of a true insight, on major campaigns for Nissan, McDonald's and Aides.

Alongside that, freelance graphic design work in Paris, Barcelona and Mexico City, always with the same goal: to distil a brand's concept into a single form. Nanda-yo, Chefs & Prestiges and La Cravache d'Or show it. In 2024, working with ARTCENTO, an agency specialising in the art market, I brought in my eye as an art historian, trained at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. And, all along, an artistic practice, to discover on the Artist page.
